Meet Sonia Wadhwa

Sonia Wadhwa is a multi-faceted technology and operations leader with deep expertise and experiences in strategic technical program management, running multi-million-dollar business operations, building technology learning solutions, and technical documentation products. Her career of over three decades has spanned across technology companies in US and India. Presently, she is a Senior Director and Chief of Staff in Microsoft's AI Strategy and Transformation group. She leads the Chief of Staff office running the E2E business operations and helping orchestrate the group strategy and is focused on driving cross-functional strategic programs, employee engagement initiatives, learning and career development programs, business performance metrics, internal and external communications, and customer engagements on AI transformation.

In addition to her day job, Sonia is actively involved in women’s communities and is a former co-chair of the Global Women @ Microsoft Employee Resource Group (ERG), a community of 30,000 women and allies at Microsoft. Currently, she co-leads a community of senior women that works towards amplifying leadership potential and impact of senior women. Sonia is a contributor to the recently published book 'Women of Microsoft' highlighting women's stories of impact and resilience in the technology world. She is a member of Empressa AI Imperial Council, a community that collaborates and celebrates the collective power of women redefining leadership and influence.

As a strong advocate of Diversity and Inclusion, Sonia is passionate about hiring and nurturing diverse talent, fostering career growth, and providing mentorship opportunities. She has led the development of mentoring and leadership development programs and continues to mentor people that are looking for career growth opportunities as leaders, managers, or individual contributors. She is also an advisor and supporter for women-owned businesses that align with her mission of empowering women in the workplace.
