Meet the speakers:

Nicole Ivory serves as the Chief People Officer at xAmplify where she leads the company’s people strategy, culture development, and wellbeing initiatives across Australia’s expanding multi-state operations.  Since joining xAmplify in 2022, she has been instrumental in achieving our Great Place to Work certification, implementing the company’s Gallup Strengths-based Framework, and establishing comprehensive wellbeing programs aligned with the “Do Well, Do Good” philosophy. Nicole brings over a decade of human resources leadership experience from the hospitality industry, where she held senior HR positions with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), Marriott’s Autograph Collection, and Noetic Group, building expertise in high-performance cultures and talent development. S he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and Commerce from Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School. Nicole connects people strategy, values-driven culture, and organizational growth to create environments where teams thrive and deliver exceptional outcomes."

Catherine Johnston is a Brisbane-based HR Manager (and straight-talker) currently leading ANZ people strategy at Pax8.  She’s passionate about making workplaces more human, without losing the structure and accountability that keeps things fair.

She spends her days navigating everything from careers and compensation to tough people decisions and brings a refreshingly practical perspective to conversations about what it really takes to build great teams.
