This one-hour workshop is designed for professional women navigating a job search or career transition. Participants will learn practical strategies to clarify their career direction, strengthen their personal brand, and approach the job market with confidence. The session blends self-reflection tools, modern job search best practices, and actionable networking and interview techniques tailored to experienced professionals. Attendees will leave with a clear roadmap and a practical checklist to guide their next career move.
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Clarify their career direction by identifying values, strengths, and non-negotiables.
- Strengthen their personal brand with an updated résumé, optimized LinkedIn profile, and compelling career story.
- Leverage networking strategically to uncover opportunities and expand visibility.
- Master modern job search and interview practices, including targeted applications and effective preparation.
- Build confidence and resilience to navigate challenges and maintain momentum throughout their transition.
Meet Lindsey Zajac
Lindsey A. Zajac is the Owner and CEO of Ascendant, a talent solutions firm. Ascendant is committed to elevating careers, empowering leaders and enriching lives by providing world-class services in outplacement, search and leadership. As CEO, Lindsey leverages her experience in Human Resources and her passion for leadership development to help her clients with their talent solutions needs. For almost 40 years, Ascendant has delivered effective services to recruit, retain, and transition talent in WNY. Prior to Ascendant, Lindsey spent fifteen years in corporate Human Resources roles in fast-paced organizations, including PepsiCo, Eaton Corporation, Saab Sensis, and Next Jump. Lindsey transitioned out of HR in 2018 to focus solely on leadership training and development. She joined Ahern, Murphy & Associates, a premier leadership and organizational development firm based out of Syracuse, NY where she served as a principal for five years.
Leadership development, executive coaching, talent management and strategic planning are Lindsey’s areas of expertise. Lindsey obtained an Advanced Coaching Certification in Women’s Leadership in 2019 as well as an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University in 2020. Lindsey is an authorized Everything DiSC partner. In 2025, Lindsey was accepted into Forbes Coaches Council, an invitation-only community for leading business and career coaches. Lindsey graduated cum laude from Providence College where she earned a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Women’s Studies.
Lindsey served as the past President of the Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives (BNSME) where she has been a member since 2019 and has served on their board since 2020. From 2019-2021, Lindsey served on the Board of Director’s for Journey’s End Refugee Services. Lindsey resides in Williamsville with her husband John, children, Delaina and Drew, and their family dog, Theo. When she is not working or caring for her family, you can find Lindsey running or spinning, traveling, and dining out.
