Event Description

Executive presence is often called the “it factor” that signals leadership potential, yet it can feel vague and out of reach for many women in technology. The truth is, executive presence is not innate—it is built through intentional practice.

In this session, participants will explore why presence matters, what it costs when it is missing, and how being perceived as confident, clear, and credible directly shapes career opportunities. Through interactive exercises and practical tools, attendees will learn to strengthen their confidence, sharpen their communication, and build credibility while staying authentic to who they are. They will also define how they want to be perceived as leaders and identify immediate actions to bring that perception to life. Participants will leave with a personalized action plan to project authority, earn influence, and advance their careers in technology.

Attendees will walk away with:

  • A clear understanding of what executive presence is and why it matters in technology leadership.
  • Awareness of the career costs when presence is missing and the opportunities gained when it’s strengthened
  • Practical tools to project confidence, communicate with clarity, and build lasting credibility.
  • A personalized action plan to define how they want to be perceived and immediate steps to align perception with reality.
  • Strategies to grow influence and authority while staying authentic to who they are.

Meet Karin Mayer

As an experienced and certified leadership coach and a former female executive in technology, I am passionate about helping women advance with confidence, clarity, and impact. I know first-hand what it’s like to navigate high-pressure, fast-paced environments where expectations can feel unrealistic, all while striving to have a fulfilling life outside of work. A core focus of my coaching is helping women strengthen their executive presence by projecting confidence, communicating with clarity, and building credibility while staying authentic. My coaching provides a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your aspirations, voice concerns, and celebrate achievements. Having walked the path myself, I understand the unique challenges women face in male-dominated industries and I am committed to equipping you with the tools to grow your influence and achieve your goals without compromising who you are.
