This event is open to all members of The WIT Network, including those with Community Memberships, and guests.

Join The WIT Network-Rocky Mountain community and channel friends to learn from a panel of tech professionals about keeping ahead of the skills and talents required -- and other creative ways to thrive and compete effectively in today’s workforce.

According to The World Bank, women make up about 35% of employees in STEM in the US. In addition, a key finding from a recent Skillsoft Women in Tech report calls out that 385 of women are dissatisfied with their growth potential working in high tech.

Skillsoft’s survey also found a top barrier facing women pursuing careers in tech is a lack of training, particularly surrounding advancing technologies like generative AI. When asked which tech-related topic they are most interested in learning about, the greatest portion of respondents said AI (41%). Despite this desire, 60% said they are not yet using AI at work, and of those who are, 63% haven’t received adequate training and resources to integrate the technology into their work. While AI is not the only skill tech professionals need to stay current, it certainly is the topic of the day!
