Event Description

While the industry celebrates innovation and disruption, it too often sidelines those with the most experience. Layoffs disproportionately impact professionals over 50, and finding a seat at the table becomes more difficult the longer you’ve been in the room.

But here’s the truth: women over 50 aren’t fading—they’re evolving. They’re launching businesses, mentoring the next generation, and redefining what leadership looks like on their own terms.

In this empowering and unfiltered session, Emily Carlson shares what it really means to thrive later in your career. Through stories of reinvention, reverse mentoring, and purpose-driven pivots, she challenges the narrative that relevance has a timeline—and shows why the fire never fades when you own your value.

Program highlights:
  • A Wake-Up Call on Ageism - Explore how bias shows up in layoffs, hiring, and culture—and how to name it and shift it.
  • The Reverse Mentoring Advantage - Learn how experience and fresh perspective create a powerful two-way leadership model.
  • The Rise of the 50+ Founder - Discover how women are turning career roadblocks into launchpads for something bigger—and how to start.
  • Tools for Staying Relevant and Respected - Walk away with practical ways to lead with confidence, connect across generations, and redefine your role at any age.
