Event Description

Join us for the next installment of Candid Conversations with Christine, our innovative series led by CEO Christine Bongard, featuring dialogues with tech industry trailblazers about the latest trends and events, especially those affecting women. It’s a chance to gain diverse insights and stories, all aimed at empowering women along their career path.

On October 31st, Christine engages in conversation with DEI Trailblazer Dr. Ashley Goodwin Lowe who recently published a book on belonging. Belonging extends what we know about diversity to include diverse thinkers like neurodivergent, introverts, extroverts, etc., to build better teams in the workplace. This concept introduces a new term she calls Cognitive Diversity Appreciation or CDA that offers practical tools that leaders can use to foster collaboration, increase productivity, and reap substantial profits. These are tools necessary to be competitive in today's market and be more inclusive in our communities.

It’s no secret that topics surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion can be difficult to discuss for many reasons. Some feel they need to be an expert to contribute to the conversation. Simply, most people do not want to offend someone by saying the wrong thing. These are valid and valued perceptions to have as a facilitator, an organizational leader, and a team member.

Join us to learn how promoting and understanding the principles of Belonging will help you:

  • Gain insight to help achieve creative self-discovery
  • Foster team diversity
  • Establish inclusive standards
  • Uncover pathways of connections that foster belonging

Join us for this engaging conversation and to understand more about the importance of Belonging.
